Point Judith, Rhode Island
Harbour Lights #223
Sharing many of the same ominous characteristics as the waters off
of Cape Hatteras, the shoals near Point Judith are often referred to as the 'graveyard of
the Atlantic'. Constructed in 1857, this historic lighthouse is currently part of an
active Coast Guard station. It remains a vitally important navigational aid.
