Stratford Shoal CT
Harbour Lights #386
Stratford Shoal Light, first lit on December 15, 1877, stands on a granite foundation in the Long Island Sound protecting ships from the dangerous Middle Ground Shoal. Built with a Gothic influence, the three-stories high tower is square on the bottom and octagonal on the upper portion. The sentinel was isolated and frequently under siege by strong winds, not an easy place for a Keeper to live. Imagine the excitement when the Lighthouse Tender Narcissus would bring mail, newspapers and supplies to the isolated outpost! This unique replica is a companion piece to the Limited Edition Anchor Bay #43123 Lighthouse Tender Narcissus. Both are designed to fit together at the base to look like the vessel is visiting the lighthouse. 7" x 4 3/4".
