14 Mile Point, MI
Harbour Lights #387

Fourteen Mile Point is located on Lake Superior 14 miles east of the Ontonagon River. The light station was originally built in 1894 for the sum of $20,000. The two-story building had a 55-foot square tower equipped with a Fourth Order Fresnel lens. A fog signal building with dual 10" fog horns and 18" brass whistles could be heard for miles across the lake. The station was manned until 1934, and on April 3, 1945, the light was exhibited for the last time. The property was sold to a private owner who neglected it. Abandoned Fourteen Mile Point was destroyed by fire on July 30, 1984. Harbour Lights Collectible Replica in a Limited Edition of 1,200 pieces. 5 1/2"W x 5 1/2"D x 4 3/4"H.
