Key Largo, FL
Harbour Lights #389

Key Largo Lighthouse, with its decorative checkerboard pattern, was built in 1959 by a local property owner who learned of an authentic lantern room being sold by an Ocala, Florida junk dealer. He bought the lantern, shipped it to Key Largo and installed it on top of a concrete base and tower. Research shows that the lantern was rescued from Rebecca Shoal Lighthouse, which was dismantled in 1953. The lighthouse is privately owned. Harbour Lights Collectible Replica in a Limited Edition of 1,200 pieces. 5" x 5 1/2".

NOTE: Disaster Struck! Some weeks ago, while carrying our three most recently completed wax sculptures down to the mold making department, our master sculptor slipped and dropped the pieces. He, fortunately, was OK. However, the three painstakingly crafted lighthouse replicas were completely destroyed! Due to this delay, we don't have photos of the finished sculptures. Above is the artist rendering our sculptor works from while creating the pieces. We hope to have pictures of these replicas very soon.
